I paint because I have to!

I love the color, the texture, especially the surprise of technique. Although I start with an idea for a piece of art, it almost always changes, sometimes subtly, sometimes dramatically. I become just the hands, the servant to the piece, and it takes on a life of it’s own. If it becomes what it wants to be, then I feel I have done a good job.
